305373 The Voice of the Voiceless - Capital "X"

Andre Latallade is the latest subject I made portraits of for The Star-Ledger's continuing, "I am New Jersey," series. Andre Latallade, 43, of Newark, NJ., AKA Capital X, a rapper, is an ex-con turned prison rights activist, who is currently doing a Walk 4 Life, from Trenton, NJ., to Texas. His walk started on March 31st to draw attention to immorality of the death penalty. He spent much of his time in prison, but has turned his life around as he fights for this cause. He started his own human rights campaign, "305373 The Voice of the Voiceless." 305375 was his last state prison number. You can check out his progress through his own blog.
