Unique look

For the June issue of Inside Jersey magazine, I made a Polaroid transfer for a story about suicides on train tracks. It was a unique story, so I wanted it to stand out from the rest.

I'm a lover of alternative processes and with everything digital now, it was nice to use this old technique. I felt it really complemented the story well.

I found this process early in my career when I worked in Pittsburgh. I love the look and feel of a Polaroid transfer. I'm very sad that Polaroid is no longer making the film, which allows you to produce transfers. So I guess I have to take it slow and be selective of what I choose to turn into a transfer. Once it's gone, it's gone.
