Tranquility

Newspaper tradition is to document not only the storm, but also the day after the storm. So I hit the streets again on Thursday, the day after the biggest Nor'Easter in recent memory crippled the region with over two feet of snow, intent on finding something representing the calm after the storm. When I came across this horse wandering the property owned by Debbie Evans of Lawrence Township, I knew I found that picture of calm.

I love this shot, both subject matter and composition - the lines of the tracks with the fence in the background and the position of the horse and that glorious sun. Well done!
