It's not often that you see an athlete take a kick to the face and keep on playing. While covering state championship soccer matches at The College of New Jersey, I photographed the girls' final between Lenape and Ridge high schools and caught the moment when Ridge's Mary Vogt accidentally kicked Lenape's Nicole Curry in the face as the two tussled for the ball. Curry shook it off and kept playing- whoever thinks girls aren't intense players hasn't seen Curry play! By the way, Lenape won, 1-0.
